15-month nationwide showcase of Indo-German collaboration focusing on Stadträume – City Spaces

New olds is one of a series of design exhibitions that IfA has been presenting to an increasingly international audience to great acclaim since 1998. The aim of these exhibitions is to address interdisciplinary subjects relating to contemporary German and European design presenting different positions and lines of thought.

The expedition in aesthetics and sustainability demonstrate artistic practices that contribute to the preservation of the planet, intend to influence conscious consumer behaviour and be economically efficient; they also showcase artistic positions in which boundaries between art, activism and inventions dissolve and the experiences and methods of environmental initiatives interconnect with artistic approaches.

For Eberhard Havekost, the city is a central place of thriving habitation and experience. There he finds motifs and situations in which the urban experiences of an aspiring consumer society find their phenotypical reflection.

For the first time, the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film in co-operation with Breuninger – one of Europe’s leading luxury goods companies – is awarding the Trickstar for the best animated film on the subject of fashion. READ ON!
