Heinrich Böll - The Clown

Hans Schier chose to be a clown, rather than to make a career for himself as a politician or businessman. After his most recent tour he returns to his hometown of Bonn and starts calling up old acquaintances, after his girlfriend has left him. At the same time he describes his impressions of Bonn. However, things go badly for him personally and in his work, and he ends up playing his guitar in Bonn’s train station, waiting for her to come back.
