Blesséd Weimar! - of all the towns there are,
though small you yet are held in great renown;
men always will make pilgrimage from afar,
attracted to you by the holy power;
and they will ask about the great and true
who strove in this town in the good days then,
and with a noble envy they will rue
they did not live here with those noble men.
