The Theatre Library for Children’s and Youth Theatre presents the plays chosen and the authors who have already won, or been nominated for, these awards. This presentation includes information about the subject-matter, a brief biography of the author, a list of their works, and information about the number of performers, first performance, and translations of each piece. This makes available to the user a comprehensive survey of important plays in German theatre for children and young people whose staging would surely also be rewarding in other countries. The plays are selected by a jury of experts.
