Marguerite Donlon, born in Ireland, was a member of the English National Ballet before she became solo dancer at Deutsche Oper Berlin and worked with many world-renowned artists, including John Neumeier, William Forsythe, Maurice Béjart und Jirˇ í Kylián. In 1991 she created her fi rst ballet titled “Celtic Touch”. Since then she has choreographed for many companies around the world like the Vienna State Ballet, Stuttgarter Ballett, Netherlands Dans Theater and Hubbard Street Dance Company, Chicago. In 2001 she was appointed Ballet Director at the Saarländisches Staatstheater. Under her directorship the Donlon Dance Company was invited to several festivals, e.g. Berlin, Luxembourg, Brussels, USA, Ireland, and South Korea and produced two dance films for ARTE.
