By 1968 I was in South Vietnam and experienced the Tet offensive and the later defense of Saigon.

I am not German but was in Pirmasens in Rhein-Pfalz in 1966-67 at the US Army base serving NATO on the Air Defense Missile site along the French Border.

By 1968 I was in South Vietnam and experienced the Tet offensive and the later defense of Saigon. By the time I got back to the US I was a convinced anti-war activist and took part in many of the demos etc in the US. I missed Chicago but was at the demos at Fort Dix and in NYC with Alan Ginsberg and the Yippies. Eventually I was forced to flee to Canada in 1970. Though I am legal once again in the US I still live in Canada.
