Brief chronicle

The following overview, beginning with the death of the German student Benno Ohnesorg in mid-1967 and ending with the legendary Woodstock Festival in mid-1969, presents some major events of the world-wide protest movement. This overview lays no claim to being either a complete chronicle of the international movement of the time or a detailed documentation of the developments of the sixties and seventies. It is meant to serve only as a rough survey of the world-wide revolt.
