Nicholas A. John
Nicholas A. John is a new media scholar, a researcher of technology and society at the Department of Communication at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He studied Philosophy and Social and Political Sciences at Cambridge University. His Ph.D. dissertation was the first academic study of the Internet in Israel. Currently he is embarking on a large study of sharing, especially in the context of Web 2.0, but also in relation to economies of sharing and the therapeutic narrative. He published different articles on the topic including “Sharing and Web 2.0: The emergence of a keyword”. John teaches BA and MA courses about the complex interrelations between technology and society.
