CHRISTINE VOSS
Christiane Voss has been the professor of the philosophy of audio-visual media at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar since 2010. She previously worked as research assistant at the CRC 626 on Aesthetic Experience and the Dissolution of Artistic Limits at the FU Berlin (2003-09). Habilitation in philosophy at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt (2010) with the thesis Der Leihkörper: Erkenntnis und Ästhetik der Illusion (2013). Doctorate in philosophy at FU Berlin (2003) with the thesis: Narrative Emotionen. Möglichkeiten und Grenzen philosophischer Theorien der Gefühle (2003). Studied philosophy and linguistics at the universities: Wuppertal, Vienna, Trinity College Dublin, Freie Universität Berlin. Priorities in teaching and research: affective theory, aesthetics, anthropology, media philosophy, philosophy of film. Publications about: theories of fiction, theories of aesthetic illusion and immersion, mimesis, film philosophy, humour, media anthropology, media philosophy, affective theory, philosophy of technology.
