Wolfgang Müller-Pietralla
Wolfgang Müller-Pietralla, a biologist, joined Volkswagen in 1992 where he initially was responsible for developing a group-wide environmental management system. From 1997 to 2002 he was involved in various functions in the development of the AUTOSTADT as an experience space and communication platform of the Volkswagen Group. Since 2002 he has been head of Future Research and Trend Transfer within the Volkswagen Group, which focuses on the exploration of future trends in society and technology and their translation into future images. The research results are incorporated in the strategies of the group brands and are translated into innovative mobility and vehicle concepts. Müller-Pietralla has taught the Futurology Master’s programme at the Freie Universität Berlin since 2010.
