Starting in philosophy departments of universities in England and North America, in recent years the social movement of Effective Altruism has inspired more and more young people around the world.
It holds the belief that our actions can and should improve the lives of as many living creatures as possible. Accordingly, the motivations of our actions and how we cooperate with others are not as important as the consequences of our actions. But what does it mean to be selfless? How can we measure the good and can we really increase goodness with money?
