Being Faust – Enter Mephisto is a big game based on Goethe’s Faust. The game was developed jointly by the Goethe-Institut Seoul, the playwright Benjamin von Blomberg and NOLGONG, a Korean company specializing in literary game adaptations. The objective of the game is to define six personal values that also play an important role in the literary original. Twelve values are prioritized during each round of the game. Before its Germany premiere in Weimar, Being Faust – Enter Mephisto travelled around the world. What were the most important values at various locations? What insights do playing behaviours give us to the respective venues and players? What happens when gaming and high culture meet in different cultures?
