Ideas and the creation of knowledge are the key resources of the information society. It seems that, in highly differentiated societies based on the division of labor, generating knowledge is conceivable not in isolation but only in concert with others. Is it possible to reconcile the exchange of knowledge and our interest to protect artistic or entrepreneurial ideas?
