Máté Gáspár works as deputy program director at the Open Society Foundations’ Arts & Culture Program. He holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Paris (no. 8) and a master’s degree in literature and French studies from the Eötvös Lóránd University.
Currently, he is finishing his DLA at the Doctoral School of the Academy of Film and Theatre in Budapest. His research focuses on performing arts policies, management and education. Gaspar has extensive experience in the field of performing arts; he has been working as press editor, theatre manager, and professional trainer for the past 15 years. He is a fellow of the working group U40-World Forum Cultural Diversity 2030, an alumnus of the European SPACE Performing Arts Managers on the move training program, and a member of the performing arts committee at the Hungarian National Cultural Fund.
