Capital:	Mexico City (around 22 million inhabitants including surrounding areas)
Location:	The United States of America (USA) are the neighbour to the north, neighbours to the south are Belize and Guatemala. Mexico borders the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Gulf of Mexico as well as the Caribbean to the east.
Population:	103,3 million (Census 2005)
National language:	the official language is Spanish, there are more than 80 indigenous languages, more than 60 of which have been recognized as “national languages” since 2003.

Border Mexico-USA:

The border between Mexico and the USA is more than 3.000 kilometres long and is one of the most frequently crossed borders in the world. The border is very heavily guarded to prevent illegal immigration into the USA. In 2006 the U.S. government decided to build a high-security fence almost 1000 kilometres long which is nearly complete. People die every year trying to cross the border illegally.
