Curriculum Vitae

Juan Pablo Villegas began his career in 1998 with various multidisciplinary projects on whose basis he works with paintings, urban art, graphic design, motion graphics, interface design, sound art, hardware hacking and interactivity.

Among other things, he has exhibited at festivals like Nweamo (New York, USA), Bent 2007 (New York, USA) Hybrid City (Tokyo, Japan), Bochum Video Festival (Bochum), Transitio Festival (Mexico City), Festival Sound Art (Mexico City), the Mutek Festival (Mexico City), and the Festival Plataforma (Puebla, Mexico).

He also receives a scholarship from FONCA (the National Fund for Art and Culture) de Conaculta as part of a programme for young artists in the New Media category. He is currently studying film and design at the Centro Escuela de cine y diseño. He is a member of the media art initiative Dorkbot in Mexico City.
