Throughout 2015 there will be a number of events involving the work of the filmmaker, artists and author Harun Farocki, who died in July 2015. The first will be a screening of his seminal essay film Images of the World and the Inscription of War (30 January), which will launch Tate Modern’s dedicated film series for the exhibition Time, Conflict, Photography.
In February the Goethe-Institut will present a programme with the films Interface and Respite ( 17 February) and the feature length film Between Two Wars (19 February), both in relation to the exhibition and in connection with the World War One and World War Two anniveraries.
A third film, Still Life (24 February NEW DATE!!), will be shown at the Goethe-Institut in connection with a special event at the Showroom on 25 February, which will combine the launch of the book Brave New Work with a screening of Farocki’s film A New Product and a conversation between the book’s editor Nina Möntmann, cultural critic Diedrich Diedrichsen and artists and curator Kodwo Eshun.
