The German artist Christiane Löhr participates in international women’s art exhibition in Sharjah this January.

Germany is invited to be the guest of honor of the Sharjah Reading Festival in 2010. In this framework the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region organizes various events.

In anticipation of the Women's Soccer World Cup 2011 an International Centre for Women's Soccer & Culture is organised in Berlin in summer 2010. Teams from all over the world can apply until 22 February 2010.
