Further scholarships for Teachers of German are offered by the Australian Government. Goethe-Institut also provides scholarships to students learning German at schools in Australia.

Scholarships for students

Scholarships for students are offered annually in every Australian state and offer students of German in years 10-11 a fantastic opportunity for take part in a 4-week study tour, or to attend a three-week Goethe-Institut holiday course. The Awardees will be selected through a State based application process, facilitated by the German teachers’ association or network in the respective state. The scholarships include return airfare and transfers in Germany, course fees, accommodation and meals, as well as insurance. This program is supported by the Pädagogischer Austauschdienst, Goethe-Institut, teacher’s associations – and networks and the Commonwealth Department of Education, Training and Workplace Relations. Application details are publicised through the German teachers’ associations and networks.

Endeavor Scholarships

Endeavour Language Teacher Fellowships offer support to Australian language teachers wanting to improve their language proficiency and cultural knowledge through intensive, short-term, language and culture study programs.
Awards are available for practising language teachers in Australian schools and trainee (pre-service language teachers in Australian universities).
