
There are a range of programs and events for students in Australia to help make their German studies easier, to lead them to success and to keep them motivated.The Goethe-Institut Australia in Melbourne and in Sydney offers special courses for students in the final years, both during the term and during the school holidays. School groups are invited to special events, such as exhibitions at the branches in Melbourne and Sydney, special screenings of children’s and youth films during the German Film Festival. Scholarships to Germany are offered as prizes for competitions.
Language Teacher Associations are offering support for student activities, extensive student exchange programs with Germany, as well as competitions and events for all year levels.
The Goethe-Institut (with financial support from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, Canberra) and the Pedagogical Exchange Service (PAD) in Bonn are offering scholarships for students in the upper middle years.
