
Robin Wallace-Crabbe is an artist and writer. He is a regular book reviewer for The Australian and The Bulletin. Some of his many novels are crime stories published in the United States under the pseudonym Robert Wallace, featuring an Australian born art forger named Essington Holt. The most recent of these was THE FORGER. Published in 2003 was CONVERSATIONS AND PORTRAITS, a collection of conversations with artists' models, accompanied by drawings and photographs. In 2006, part of CONVERSATIONS AND PORTRAITS was published in Paris. Since 1998 he has worked on limited edition books with FINLAY PRESS in Braidwood, NSW, and more recently has participated in the establishment of a new publishing house, FINLAY LLOYD, and an associated internet site,
www.chewie.org. As an artist he has had more than 40 solo exhibitions and his work has been included in group exhibitions throughout Australia, an International Print Biennale UK, an International Drawing Biennale in New Zealand, as well as invitation shows and exhibitions representative of Australian art in various countries including the USA, UK, France, Poland and Indonesia.
