Family Fever

DIRECTOR: Nico Sommer // SCREENPLAY: Daniel Fink
CAST: Kathrin Waligura, Peter Trabner, Deborah Kaufmann
Maja and Uwe Roth are stuck in a major rut because the spark has long since gone out of their marriage and there’s nothing to look forward to except more of the same. Things couldn’t be more different for their lively 17-year-old daughter Alina. She’s head-over-heels in love with 19-year-old boyfriend Nico and wants to tell the world. Alina and Nico’s parents have never met so the young lovebirds decide to bring everyone together at a weekend gathering. The plan is to declare their love in what will surely be a loving and supportive family environment. Bad idea! Sparks fly from the moment Maja and Uwe met Birgit and Stefan. It seems Maja and Stefan are not exactly strangers after all. Painful truths and delightful doses of black comedy make this a weekend to remember.
