Three women, three different stories, one room in a psychiatric clinic. Leila, who is portrayed by Jella Haase, is part of the trio. She is 19 and feels disconnected from her close environment and from society at large. Having grown up in a carnival, Leila’s cheerful and colourful surroundings contrasted with her inner feelings. She is especially disappointed by her close friend Sarah with whom she is secretly in love. A confused and chaotic night ending in the emergency ward, results in Leila to admitting herself to the psychiatric clinic. There she meets Frenja and Ann and a relationship between the three unfolds. Having studied photography before becoming a director, Leonie Krippendorff focuses on the aesthetics of images rather than dialogues to tell her touching story.

Jella Haase and Leonie Krippendorff are guests of the Film Fest.
