In order to get back custody of her daughter, single mother Mona Paparu tells the child protective services about her adventures over the last three years. When she left Transylvania, her daughter stayed behind with an aunt. Mona was accompanying her father as he travelled to Germany for surgery. She ended up in a S/M brothel in Liverpool, where prostitutes act the parts of literary characters. Her story is one of love, crime, prostitution and sexual slavery. In contrast to these experiences in a shadowy world, the director uses bright colours, kitsch special effects and a hypnotizing soundtrack, allowing the audience to dream away.
