By fictionalising her own experiences of the anarchist women’s movement in Berlin in the late 1980s and visiting old friends and real comrades, Barbara Teufel, a veteran of the scene, allows us to take a close look at her world: In these days of action, seven radical, anarchist women, lesbian and “hetera” dissidents – the “female knights” or “gallant girls” - founded a revolutionary women’s commune: Their manifesto demanded a lesbian lifestyle.
