Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche is a Tibetan Buddhist master and a reincarnated lama, but had to flee from Tibet and settled in Italy. When his Italian-born son, Yeshi, is recognised as the reincarnation of his father's uncle and master, Yeshi resists following tradition and chooses a business career. Only when his father gets older does he travels to Tibet, and there his life changes. This long-term documentary by Jennifer Fox follows the father-son relationship between the modern and the ancient worlds over 20 years.
