“Nora Helmer” is an adaptation of Ibsen's play “A Doll´s House”: To help her ill husband Torwald, Nora fakes a signature to get some money. Torwald in turn feels Nora risked his career by doing the fake and wants to drop her. In Fassbinder’s version Torwald later changes his mind which Nora accepts even though she realizes her husband does not really love her.
