Roland Emmerich started his career with “The Noah's Ark Principle”, a sci-fi fantasy which finds the world on the brink of a third World War. Made at the Munich film school it is reported to have been the most expensive student project ever produced. It premiered at the 1984 Berlin International Film Festival.
