Teheran, summer 1953: The democratically chosen Prime Minister Mossadegh was brought down with help from the British and Us-Government and the Shah overtook the power. Among those political and social turbulences four women were struggling with their own individual destiny. They escape from their men, brothers and all men who controlled their lives and meet on an orchard to find peace of mind. This is the first feature film from internationally renowned visual artist Shirin Neshat.
