Arthur Hofer, who attended the third Festival of German Cinema in Australia in 2004 was born in Hechingen in 1949. He completed his studies in Economics and Communication Sciences in Tübingen. Since 1977, Hofer has worked for several film production companies and has produced a number of successful films. After being director of the renowned Babelsberg Film Studios, Hofer became the Artistic Director of the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. He now continues to pass on his vast knowledge of the film industry as a professor in the macromedia university for media and communication in Stuttgart.
