2011

The Winners

The selection of the winners of the ‘Karlchen’, the National School Film Award, took place on 1st April in Canberra. The topic of the School Film Festival 2010 was “Alles im grünen Bereich”. It certainly was not an easy task for our top-class jury as there were really good productions in the race. More than 220 enthusiastic students, teachers and parents were waiting curiously for the award winning ceremony.
To make this a special day, not only the 9 student films were shown, but also the professional German production “Hands off Mississippi”. Thus it was a wonderful movie day – altogether a huge success.

The films competed in five categories:

  • Best German  $ 300
  • Best actor/actress  $ 300
  • Best screenplay  $ 300
  • Best technical production  $ 300
  • Best overall production $ 500
