Desert Islands by MAP office

The history of the 21st century will be written on water. We will face a significant rise of the sea water level. It was just a few weeks ago that the President of the Maldives chaired the world’s first underwater cabinet meeting to raise the awareness of this topic. In 'Desert Islands' MAP office has identified 101 islands that present a laboratory of major human action and experimentation.
Microwave International New Media Arts Festival 2009

The Goethe-Institut Hongkong is pleased to support Microwave International New Media Arts Festival 2009 by inviting two media artists Wilfried Agricola and Aram Barthroll to participate in the festival.
Preserving the Past - Restoration of European Books



The cultural heritage needs an appropriate conservation and preservation of the rare books and imprints. Two experts from Germany will talk and demonstrate the recent theory and methods on conservation and restoration of European rare books.
GAM Workshop 'Global Art and the Museum' in Hong Kong
