In today’s global society the knowledge of foreign languages is an important asset. If you are interested in studying or working abroad, you will find it is not enough simply to speak your mother tongue. The added benefit of learning another language is not just that you will be able to communicate with foreigners in their native tongue, but also that you will get to know their culture.
The Council of Europe has declared 26 September to be an annual European Day of Languages.
Once again we – the European Cultural Institutes in Prague, EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) and the Representation of the European Commission in Prague – will celebrate the Day of Languages with a series of events and programmes. Join us and enjoy Europe’s cultural and linguistic diversity, take part in our programme, online-quiz and contest and win a prize!
