Accommodation and meals in Berlin
Goethe-Institut Berlin does not operate a hostel. You can choose between:Homestays
On request we will arrange single rooms in private households for our course participants (with the exception of evening courses). This includes use of the kitchen for breakfast.
- The rooms are functionally furnished (bed, wardrobe, desk). The bathroom is usually shared with the host.
- Bedclothes and towels are provided.
- Television and telephone use is by arrangement.
- The course participants are requested to keep the rooms clean and tidy themselves. The landlord will do the final cleanup after your departure.
Hotel rooms
On request we can also book a hotel room for you at special Goethe rates. We can also provide names and addresses of reasonably priced accommodations starting at approximately €82.00/night for a single room.
Apartments
We forward any requests for separate apartments to a property agency. Prices are usually significantly higher than for the private rooms arranged by the institute. Meals
On the ground floor there is a restaurant independent of the institute, and in the immediate vicinity there are numerous eateries in all price classes. Budget-priced meals are also available at the universities, which are within easy reach.
