What our course participants say

Giovanna Guedes (30) from Brazil (journalist)
"At the Goethe-Institut in Düsseldorf I not only improved my German skills. I also had the opportunity to make contacts and become familiar with the cultural life here through various activities. In the classes we discuss current events and issues. That gives me the feeling that I'm always well informed." Alidou Kone (37) from Burkina Faso (teacher)
"I wondered where it was possible to learn something in just an eight-week language course. The answer: at the Goethe-Institut Düsseldorf. Everything is always very well organized here and the courses are intensive and very instructive. The teachers I have met here are always there for the learners. In eight weeks I have learned a lot and gotten to know a lot of likeable people. Super Goethe-Institut Düsseldorf!" Tatiana Alexeeva (42), Russian Federation (teacher)
"I took part in the language course for primary school teachers in Düsseldorf. There were eight participants from different countries. We're taking home a lot of new knowledge! Games, songs and fairy tales! New methods for working with vocabulary, texts, newspapers and for learning at work stations! Many impressions of German culture and German schools! Friendliness, openness, cheerfulness and an international exchange!" Hisaki Mizutani (20) from Japan (student)
"I find the A-2 course a good course. It was very helpful to me. When I came to Germany, my German was very bad. Now I can express myself better. The teachers were always nice and often waited when I was slow to answer questions. I think that A2 was good preparation for the courses that will come later. The course was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to the next course." Natalia Rochat (21) from Switzerland (student)
"Because I had to improve my German skills for my studies, I decided to take an intensive course in Düsseldorf. I am very happy with my choice! The teaching at the Goethe-Institut is really very effective and it also allows you to discover Germany's culture and history. Now German is more than just a necessity for my professional education: It has become a real interest of mine." Abdoulaye Siko (35) from Burkina Faso (teacher)
"At the Goethe-Institut Düsseldorf, everyone is friendly, likeable and very helpful. I must say that competency and performance are treated as guiding principles. Everyone in the various areas loves their work. This does not meet with indifference on the part of us students, and inspires us to do our best at all times. This results in our obvious success in the language course. The contacts with cultural facilities arranged by the Goethe-Institut Düsseldorf were also useful." Dimitra Panagiotakopoulou (25) from Greece (doctor)
"We not only learn intensively in the mornings. We also have to read at home and do our homework. Another useful thing is that we listen to a lot of CDs and that we talk with our fellow students. There is also a media resource center where you can borrow literature, books and CDs. After the lessons I usually go there to read. I hope that I will soon be better at speaking."
