How to get to the Freiburg Goethe Institute
From Basle/Mulhouse Airport:
1) Through Switzerland: Take the airport bus to the Basle train station. From there, trains take 30 minutes to reach Freiburg. Total travel time: approximately one hour. 2) Direct link via "EuroAirBus" in 55 minutes

From Frankfurt/Main airport:
Train journey to Freiburg from Frankfurt/Main Airport via Karlsruhe takes 2 hours.
From Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport (FKB):
Take the bus to Baden-Baden. From there, train journey to Freiburg takes about 1 hour.
From Strassburg Airport:
Train journey to Freiburg from Strassburg station via Offenburg takes 1.5-2 hours.
From Stuttgart Airport:
Train journey to Freiburg from Stuttgart station via Karlsruhe takes 2.5 hours.
From Zurich Airport:
Train journey to Freiburg from Zurich station via Basle takes 2.5-3 hours.
By train:
ICE and IC trains on the Frankfurt-Mannheim-Karlsruhe-Basle route stop in Freiburg. Hourly connections. The Goethe Institute is conveniently located just 250 metres from the train station.
By car:
Freiburg Mitte exit. Then follow the signs to 'Hauptbahnhof' (train station) and park in the underground garage. From there it is just a few steps to the Goethe Institute. Please note: It is very difficult to find parking in Freiburg! Underground parking at the hostel costs € 60.00 per month. There is no parking at the institute.
