Az új Goethe-Zertifikat B1 2013.05.01-től egyes kiválasztott vizsgahelyeken, 2013.08.01-től pedig világszerte is leváltja a korábbi Goethe-Zertifikat B1: Zertifikat Deutsch (ZD) és Goethe-Zertifikat B1: Zertifikat Deutsch für Jugendliche (ZDj) nyelvvizsgákat.

    A Zertifikat Deutsch (ZD) és a Zertifikat Deutsch für Jugendliche (ZDj) vizsgát utoljára 2013.07.31-én lehet letenni. Ismétlésre 2013 végéig van lehetőség – a részleteket a mindenkori vizsgaközpont szabályozza.
