Arrival

By plane to Stuttgart:

We offer a bus transfer service from Stuttgart Airport to the school for students arriving between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m on arrival day. (A wait may be necessary). If you book a flight that arrives after 6 p.m., the taxi fare to the school will be approximately € 130.
Our staff will meet the arriving students at the airport Meeting Point in the international arrivals terminal. The staff member will have a Goethe Institute sign and an official letter for identification purposes.
For organizational reasons, we regret that we are unable to provide you with the name of this member of our staff earlier than 3 days in advance of the course.

Please inform us in writing of your arrival time and your flight number no later than three weeks before the start of your course.
There is a one-off transfer fee of € 80 for the transfer service to the school and back to the airport. Please give your child this amount in an envelope.

By train:

Take the train to the Schwäbisch Hall — Hessental station, and then take a bus or taxi (approximately € 9) the remaining 5 kilometres to the castle in Michelbach an der Bilz.

By car:

Schwäbisch Hall is on the A6 Heilbronn-Nürnberg autobahn. Take the "Kupferzell-Schwäbisch Hall" exit and follow the signs on the B19 regional road for "Schwäbisch Hall" (approximately 10 kilometres). About 500 metres after passing the Schwäbisch Hall sign when you reach the town, turn left at the traffic light into Stadtgrabenring towards Ellwangen. Follow the signs for Ellwangen (keep right at the second traffic light) until you reach the Hessental district. Take the first turning to the right after the Hessental sign and before the filling station, and follow this road until you see a sign for Michelbach/Bilz to the right. After approximately 1 kilometer you will reach a roundabout. Go straight through the roundabout towards "Bahnhof Hessental" and Michelbach. After passing the station, you will reach the town of Michelbach/Bilz after about 4 kilometres. You will see the castle on the left-hand side. Turn left at the traffic light and left again towards the school "Aufbaugymnasium Michelbach". You are now directly in front of the Michelbach Castle boarding school.

Should students be unable to arrive or depart on the specified dates, please plan to arrive the following day or to depart one day before the end of the course, respectively. Our staff cannot guarantee transfer, or supervision on days outside the course dates. Also, we cannot provide food in the boarding school outside course dates
