Achim Mohné & Uta Kopp

Achim Mohné was born in 1964 and studied photography at the University of Essen and pursued post-graduate studies in media at the Kunsthochschule für Medien in Cologne. Since 1998 he has worked as an independent artist in the area of new media. He has participated in numerous exhibitions, happenings, and projects, working with video installations, public interventions, computer-based communication, and surveillance technology. Mohné has received scholarships to work at the Villa Aurora in Los Angeles, the Kunststiftung NRW in Düsseldorf, and the Center for Land Use Interpretation in Los Angeles, and has taught at the Akademie Münster as well as at Indiana University, among other institutions.
Uta Kopp, born in 1968, studied communication design at the Fachhochschule Mainz and media design as a post-graduate student at the Kunsthochschule für Medien in Cologne. She is an independent graphic designer, specializing in visual concepts and consultation. Among her many awards she has received the Art Directors Club, New York, the red dot design award, Essen, the New Media Invision Award, San Francisco, the EVA Innovations Award, Berlin, the Eyes & Ears of Europe award, Cologne, the Promax-BDA award, Santa Monica, and the Designpreis Brandenburg.
