About the Filmmaker
Mohamed Mamdouh works as a director, screenwriter and producer. He is a self-taught director who is currently enrolled in the independent study programme at the High Cinema Institute. He is also an art critic and is a board member for the Association of Cinema Critics. He has written scripts and directed a number of documentary films for Al Jazeera Channel. Mamdouh has won the Abdel Hay Adeeb prize for scriptwriting for his script Angel Blood, and has directed two films: What’s to Come, a short independently produced fictional film (2006), and Less than an Hour, produced by the National Centre for cinema in 2009.
