About the Filmmaker
Born in Cairo in 1974, Kamila Abu Zikry completed her BA in filmmaking at the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1992. She directed the fictional film 6 O’Clock Train which won her a number of prizes, and the documentary film Palestine in Egypt. Since then, she has directed a number of long feature films, most recently 1-0.
