The Last Station by Ghada Terawi
Palestine
7 min | 2007
The online presentation of films from „Arab Shorts 2009” on this site ended by 31 December 2011.
The film follows Terawi’s relationship to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, the 1982 departure of the PLO, the second diaspora in the Arab countries, and then the return and the meeting with Palestine and its symbols. The filmmaker’s personal story diverges from the collective Palestinian story, making it both and neither at the same time.
