Joud Said searches for a short story of cinema in Syria, for film festivals that have changed many lives, for a cinema that has lured a young generation to see its reflection in a pool of water, and that years later finds itself alone, in a theatre.

About the Filmmaker

Joud Said studied cinema at Leon University in France and is one of the fast developing Syrian filmmakers today. In only five years, Said has made a documentary entitled Few of Last Days and two short films titled Monologue and Farewell. His first feature film Once Again has won the best Arabic film award from the Damascus International Film Festival in 2009. Said has not yet turned thirty, and he is the youngest Syrian filmmaker to complete a feature film.
