The online presentation of films from „Arab Shorts 2009” on this site ended by 31 December 2011.

Two men in the middle of nowhere fight for the last drop of water. What is there to do when the water is finished? The originality of this movie lies in its script and in the burlesque tone the filmmaker has chosen. Aesthetics prevent the “cistern” from turning into an imposition. The cistern is at stake in the control of a rare resource: water. These two men in trellis, in the middle of nowhere, taking care of cemeteries. Who are they? Gardeners or soldiers? This war for the last drop of water is pathetic and cooperation is inescapable.
