Teaching German

Touring Exhibition: Musik + X

An opportunity to liven-up your school corridors, to work across the curriculum with Art, Music or Social Studies departments, to motivate your pupils with young sound and colourful images.

The exhibition “musik + X” invites you on a tour through the music genres, scenes and subcultures of Germany. It aims to inspire students to consider learning German or enhance their current studies by combining the language with modern music and an insight into the youth culture of their German counterparts and is a fantastic opportunity for teachers to develop cross curricular work in their school and Local Authority.

Four music genres are featured in a series of 17 laminated A1 posters (with poster rails) and an accompanying DVD: Techno, Pop, Indie and Hip Hop. Students will gain insights into live concerts, fan mail, photos, posters, instruments, stage costume and more. This exhibition is supported by a great choice of teaching materials for all levels which can be downloaded from our website and used to plan lively and up-to-date Language lessons.

The Poster/DVD exhibition is available on loan for three weeks at a time (for Local Authorities two months). The only cost for schools is the return postage of the package in its own courier case.
