Our translation programme supports the publication of books by German authors in other languages.
It aims to make important academic writing, high-quality fiction, and children's and youth literature available to a non-German speaking readership. The programme is an important part of Germany's foreign cultural and educational policy.

Are you a translator of German literature? Then the Leipzig Book Fair is an absolute must for you! Apply to the Goethe-Institut Glasgow for a grant to take part in a Translators’ Tour of the German literary and publishing scene in 2012. Closing date for applications is 15th January, 2012.
