On the occasion of the London Festival of Architecture and the Exhibition Road Music Day the Goethe-Institut is presenting a diverse programme on three stages in collaboration with RCM Alumni, the RCM Junior Department and the record company THE1234.
Come and chill out in our FOYER, where there will be acoustic sessions by young London bands in the afternoon, followed by some groovy jazz vibes.
Join us in our LIBRARY for some stunning classical music performances from brass, string and woodwind ensembles as well as choral and Lieder recitals.
Gigs on the OUTDOOR STAGE include indie, pop and electro acts. The highlight will be MIA., boisterously mixing German lyrics, punk and electro-music.
We are also offering a workshop for school classes and their teachers: children have fun learning German by singing songs!
Exhaust 19-06-08 involves a 24-hour performance during which the exhaled air by artist David Rickard is collected via a respiratory mask into a series of silver balloons. These will form a large sculpture that will stretch up the Goethe-Institut STAIRWELL to present our daily requirement for fresh air.
