Nichts zum Anziehen

Nichts zum Anziehen is a colourful and witty German play performed by the Onatti Theatre Company on March 27th 2009 at the partner school St. Marylebone.
The play is about Jessica and Stefan, two German teenagers who are in love and focuses on how they cope with the obstacles, fears as well as the excitement and happy feelings that surround their first date.
What are you supposed to say on the phone? What should you wear? Where do you go for your first date?
On the stage, which is divided into the teenagers’ two separate rooms, Jessica and Stefan reveal to us their innermost thoughts and feelings concerning these issues. Naturally, an important topic like love is always accompanied by feelings of insecurity and helplessness. Whenever Jessica and Stefan are at a loss about what they should do, they can turn to the helping hand of the audience, who are ready to give them their advice at all times.
With the help of the audience all questions concerning the first date can be answered and in the end there is even a happy ending.
Having previously studied the 50 minute long play during their German classes; the students of St. Marylebone had no difficulties in understanding the vocabulary concerning Jessica and Stefan’s first date.
