kavecS is an initiative on critical art activism run by Kostis Stafylakis and Vana Kostayola since 2005.

Kostayola is a new media artist. She graduated from the Athens School of Fine Art. She holds an MA Fine Arts (Central Saint Martins, London), an MA Interactive Media (University of Goldsmiths, London) and an MA Critical Curatorial Cybermedia (HEAD, Geneva). She works as a video-installation artist for theatre and dance companies. Together with artist Sofia Bempeza, they run Cultural Symptoms, a platform on the world of art as a place of work.

Stafylakis is an art theorist and artist. He graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts; he holds an MA in Modern Art and Theory (Uni. Essex) and an MA in Continental Philosophy (Uni. Essex). He received his doctorate from the Department of Political Science and History, Panteion University (Athens), focusing on the political discourse launched by 21st century global art shows and especially Documenta11. He recently curated the show To the limits of togetherness at Amfissa, Greece.
