Subject: Awarded libraries at a global level
Dear Readers,
Globally, libraries encounter important changes as regards structures, infrastructure, budget cuts, reconsidering and inventing new user services. Watching the developments with a positive view, but also attempting to present best practice examples, we have selected and presented awarded libraries at a global level on issue no. 1 (2011).
We hope that while reading those, the stakeholders of libraries will invent innovative ideas to contribute to their libraries’ development. The articles emanate from awarded libraries in Germany, Greece, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the USA. The services of an Italian school library are presented on the library profile. Some pieces of news have been also selected.
Interesting,
After more than four years of focused-subject approach of our journal, we have decided that the 2nd issue of 2011 (no.2, September 2011) will have no particular subject. We welcome authors to write any article on any library-related topic of their preference. You are cordially invited to submit your article, news or library profile by August 31, 2011.
